MANCHESTER, N.H. --- Colby College goaltender Loni Pisani made 39 saves to keep the Mules in the game, but Saint Anselm pulled away in the third period for a 3-1 victory over the Mules in non-conference women's hockey Saturday.
Pisani stopped at least 11 shots in each period and kept Saint Anselm (8-3-1) off the scoreboard until Aly Zappen tallied at 11:11 of the second period.
The Mules (2-6-4) tied the game at 1-1 when Tasha Rivard scored her second goal of the season off assists from Marissa Simmons and Liz Osgood on the power play at 2:10 of the third period.
Saint Anselm scored just 27 seconds later to take the lead for good when Molly Corl scored her third goal of the year. Sami Tatu added a power play goal about two minutes later for the insurance goal.
Carley Berry stopped 18 shots in goal for Saint Anselm.
