MANCHESTER, N.H. --- First-year player Stephanie Scarpato had a stick in both goals for Colby College, but the Mules fell 3-2 to Saint Anselm College on Wednesday night in non-conference women's hockey.
Cindy Lebel tallied at 14:40 of the second period to put Saint Anselm up for good at 2-1. Brittany Kretzman scored at 11:12 of the third period for a 3-1 lead. Scarpato scored on the power play with just 28 seconds left in regulation for Colby (1-2-1). Scarpato also had an assist along with Laura Anning on a power play goal by Lauren Goethals in the second period to knot the score at 1-1. Andrea Berlin stopped 18 shots for Saint Anselm (4-0), while Genevieve Triganne made 25 saves for the Mules.
