WATERVILLE, Maine --- First-year defender Paige Murray (Andover, Mass.) scored 5:31 into the second period and the goal stood up as Connecticut College took a 1-0 win over Colby College in NESCAC women's hockey Friday night at Alfond Rink. The Camels improve to 3-2 overall and 3-2 in league play, while the Mules fall to 2-3 overall and 1-3 in the conference. Amy Leichliter (Westchester, Pa.) stopped 22 shots for the Camel shutout. Colby first-year goalie Brianne Wheeler (Brussels, Ont.) made 28 saves. Conn College heads to Bowdoin College for a 4 p.m. game Saturday. Meanwhile, Colby will play host to Hamilton College in a 3 p.m. contest. Hamilton took a 3-1 win over Bowdoin on Friday.
