Osgood helps women's hockey to tie, 5-5

CLINTON, N.Y. --- Liz Osgood had a hat trick and Marissa Simmons had the other two goals for the Colby College women's hockey team in a 5-5 tie at Hamilton College on Friday night.

Stephanie Scarpato dished three assists for the Mules (1-2-2). Kaitlyn Conway had the other assist for Colby.

The teams battled to a wild 4-4 tie after one period. The Continentals scored just 2:17 into the contest, but Osgood tallied just seven seconds later to tie the game. The Mules scored the next three goals for a 4-1 lead only to see Hamilton score three goals in the final 3:44 of the period to tie the game.

Colby plays at Connecticut College on Saturday at 3 p.m.
