WATERVILLE, Maine --- Kaitlyn Conway (Andover, Mass.) scored in her final collegiate home game and Colby College cut an early 3-0 deficit down to 3-2, but Trinity College pulled away for a 5-3 in NESCAC women's hockey Saturday at Alfond Rink.
Celia Colman-McGaw (Manchester, Conn.) scored two goals in the final 4:30 of the second period and teammate Domi Di Dia (Studio City, Calif.) had three assists for the Bantams.
Trinity (17-3-2 overall, 9-3-2 NESCAC) led 3-0 at one point and took a 3-1 lead at the first intermission. Kim Weiss (Potomac, Md.), Jill Roloff (West Seneca, N.Y.), and Britney Ryan (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) had the goals for the Bantams, with two scores coming on the power play.
The Mules (3-14-5, 1-10-3) got a power play goal of their own with just 58 seconds left in the first period when Marissa Simmons (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) scored. Kaitlyn Conway, playing in her final home game with the Mules, then tallied short-handed at 9:18 of the second period to make it a 3-2 game. Kathy Shei (Iverness, Ill.) had assists on both goals.
Colman-McGaw added the insurance goals at 15:30 and 18:41 of the second period for Trinity. The Mules scored the final goal off the stick of Ally Kane (Montpelier, Vt.) at 12:28 of the final period.
