WATERVILLE, Maine --- The Colby College women’s hockey team secured the fourth seed in the New England Small College Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday and then found out who they will play on Sunday.
The Mules will entertain fifth-seeded Bowdoin College at 4 p.m. Saturday in a league quarterfinal game at Alfond Rink. Colby (11-10-3 overall, 7-7-2 NESCAC) and the Polar Bears (11-10-1, 7-8-1) split games during the season. The Mules won 4-2 at home on December 6, but Bowdoin won 4-1 at Brunswick on February 10.
Colby had to wait until Sunday to find out its quarterfinal opponent. The Mules could have played Connecticut College had the Camels defeated or tied Amherst College in a game Sunday. The Lord Jeffs won the game and that pushed Bowdoin to the fifth seed.
Ticket information will be announced on either Monday or Tuesday.
