MIDDLETOWN, Conn. --- Becky Julian, Colette Finley, and Stephanie Scarpato combined on the opening three goals in the first period to help the Colby College women's hockey team take a 5-1 win against Wesleyan University on Friday night.
Julian got all three goals and now has 18 on the season, while Finley and Scarpato were credited with assists on the goals.
Amanda Comeau added a short-handed goal with just five seconds left in the second period to make the score 4-0.
Wesleyan (5-12-0) tallied at 3:38 of the third period, but Laura Anning got her 14th goal of the season for Colby at 10:24.
The Mules move to 10-7-3 overall and 5-4-3 in the conference. Colby moved past Connecticut College into fourth place in the league standings after the Camels lost 2-0 to Trinity.
