WATERVILLE, Maine --- The New England Small College Athletic Conference champions will play at home on Wednesday when the Colby College women's lacrosse team entertains Eastern Connecticut State in a first round game in the NCAA Division III Tournament on Bill Alfond Field.

The time of the game has not been announced, but the Mules did play a night game in the first round of the NCAA tourney back in 2006.

The winner of the Colby/Eastern Connecticut game will play at regional host Hamilton College on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Gettysburg, like Hamilton, received an opening round bye and will play the Middlebury College/Ithaca College opening round winner at 11:30 a.m. The regional title game to decide who goes to the NCAA Final Four will be on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Hamilton.

Colby (12-5) received an automatic bid to the NCAA tourney after taking a 14-12 win over Trinity College in the league championship game Sunday.

Middlebury, Trinity, and Amherst all made the NCAA tourney.

The complete pairings for the tourney can be found at the following Web site: http://www.ncaa.com/uploadedFiles/Sports/Lacrosse_(W)/Articles/Division_III/2008%20D3%20W%20Lax%20Bracket.pdf
