Women's soccer battles tough in loss

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Brianna Wolfson (Brookville, N.Y.) scored 8:23 into the game and Williams College was able to make the goal stand up as the Ephs took a 1-0 victory over Colby College in New England Small College Athletic Conference women’s soccer Sunday.

Williams, the top-ranked team in Division III, moved to 11-0 overall and 7-0 in the NESCAC. Colby falls to 4-6-1 overall and 1-5-1 in the conference.

Tyler Rainer (Marlborough, Mass.) picked up the assist on Wolfson’s goal. The Ephs had a 24-7 advantage in shots.

Lauren Sinnenberg (Westfield, N.J.) made one save to earn the Williams shutout. Loni Pisani (Kanata, Ontario) stopped 12 shots to keep Colby in the game.
