WATERVILLE, Maine --- Middlebury College scored two goals in the final 19:22 of the opening half and the goals stood up as the Panthers took a 2-0 win over Colby College in New England Small College Athletic Conference women's soccer Saturday. Middlebury, ranked fifth in New England, moves to 4-2-1 overall and 2-2 in NESCAC play. The Mules fall to 2-2-3 overall and 0-2-3 in league play. Gabriella Curbelo-Zeidman (Brooklyn, N.Y.) tallied unassisted with 19:22 to play and Annie Rowell (Craftsbury, Vt.) added an insurance goal with just 1:26 to halftime. Both players came off the bench to get their goals. The Panthers had a 14-6 shot advantage and goalkeeper Lauryn Torch (Bronxville, N.Y.) made four saves for the shutout. Jayde Bennett (Lynn, Mass.) stopped eight shots for Colby.
