LEWISTON, Maine --- The Colby College women's soccer team had to settle for the fifth seed in the New England Small College Athletic Conference Championship after having Saturday's league game at Bates College called off because of the heavy rain and winds that hit Maine.
Colby (8-2-3, 3-2-3 NESCAC) will play at fourth-seeded Williams College on Sunday at noon in a quarterfinal game. The Mules could have earned the fourth seed in the tourney with a win over Bates and a loss by Williams at Amherst.
