MIDDLETOWN, Conn. --- Wesleyan University scored twice in the opening half and held off a late Colby College charge to post a 2-1 win in New England Small College Athletic Conference women's soccer Saturday.
The Cardinals (2-7, 1-4 NESCAC) got goals from Sam Blank at 7:14 and Kaitlin Ashley at 40:52 to take a 2-0 lead into the break. Lexi Bohonnon scored her second goal of the season with 1:26 left in the contest for Colby (3-4-1, 0-4-1), but the Cardinals held on for the win.
