WATERVILLE, Maine --- Sarah Nolet (Los Altos, Calif.) had a penalty kick in the opening half and Maeve Stewart (Palo Alto, Calif.) added an insurance goal in the second half as Tufts University took a 2-0 victory over Colby College in New England Small College Athletic Conference women's soccer Saturday. The Mules are 3-3-3 overall and 0-3-3 in the league, while Tufts moves to 4-2-2 overall and 3-1-1 in conference play. The Jumbos were awarded a penalty kick after a trip just inside the penalty area. Colby goaltender Jayde Bennett (Lynn, Mass.) guessed the right way on the kick, but Nolet put in a perfect shot to the right corner at 22:57 of the opening half. Michael dribbled in from the right side and had a short cross to Stewart, who hit a one-timer that deflected off a Colby player into the right side of the net at 56:44. Jayde Bennett (Lynn, Mass.) stopped seven shots for Colby.
