Playoff loss for women's soccer

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. --- Williams College, the top-ranked team in NCAA Division III and the top seed in the New England Small College Athletic Conference playoffs, scored two goals in each half in a 4-0 victory over Colby College in quarterfinal round play Sunday.

Colby (5-9-1) had made the league playoffs with a dramatic 1-0 overtime win over Bates College on Friday.

Annelise Snyder and Gabrielle Woodson each had one goal and one assist for the Ephs (14-0-1).

Loni Pisani was credited with three saves for Colby.
