Wesleyan stops Colby women's soccer

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Wesleyan University scored two goals in 1:49 of the first half and the Cardinals made the scores stand up in a 2-0 victory over Colby College in New England Small College Athletic Conference women's soccer Saturday.

The Mules fall to 0-2-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the NESCAC, while Wesleyan is 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the league.

Kat Ellis-Ferrara scored the game-winning goal at 25:37 of the first half and Lily Kaplan tallied just 1:49 later for a 2-0 lead.

Loni Pisani stopped five shots in goal for Colby, which had a 12-11 shot advantage.
