BIDDEFORD, Maine --- The Colby College women's soccer team blanked an opponent for the second straight game and Lexi Bohonnon got the game-winning goal as the Mules took a 1-0 non-conference win over University of New England on Tuesday night.
Bohonnon scored her first goal of the season at 76:04 off assists from Katie McCabe and Lauren Goethals. McCabe had a long corner kick go to Goethals, who found Bohonnon for the goal. McCabe already has five assists in Colby's 3-2-1 start to the season. Colby goalie Loni Pisani earned her third shutout of the season and now has a scoreless streak of 264 minutes, 17 seconds over the past three games. She had a 0-0 shutout in 110 minutes against Trinity and last gave up a goal at 25:43 of a game against Husson. The Mules had a big advantage in shots at 18-6 and a whopping 15-0 margin in corner kicks. UNE (2-5) got six saves from Leigh Engel.
