Women's squash holds off Tufts, 5-4

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Penny Kagan fought from behind twice in the eighth position match to win in five and first spot player Kate Pistel won in three games to power the 20^th-ranked Colby College women's squash team to a 5-4 win against 24^th-ranked Tufts University on Friday at the Dunaway Squash Courts.

Kagan fell behind after the first and third games, but closed out strong with 11-1 and 11-4 victories to pull out the important victory. Pistel had an easier time of it at the first position with an 11-6, 11-9, 11-6 win against Alix Michael.

Molly Parsons earned her 10^th win of the season at the second spot for Colby (6-10). Lily Greenberg and Ellie Hoyt had the other wins for the Mules.

Tufts' Mercedes Barba had a five-game win at the third position, Jessica Rubine won in five at the fourth spot, and Ushashi Basu also had a win in five games at six. Alyse Vinosky took the fifth position match in three games.
