WATERVILLE, Maine --- Mandy Ferguson, who broke a 22-year-old school record and placed second in the 1,000-yard freestyle, joined teammates Jess Blais, Danielle Carlson, and Kathryn Lee on the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women's Swimming and Diving All-Conference Team on Wednesday.
The top three finishers in each event (individual and relay) at last weekend's NESCAC meet received all-conference recognition.
Ferguson was runner-up in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 10:25.35. She broke the old Colby record of 10:29.59 by Sally White '91, who had set her record in 1988. Ferguson also finished in fourth place in the 1,650 freestyle (17:34.55) and fourth in the 500 freestyle (5:06.59).
Ferguson also teamed up with Blais, Carlson, and Lee to take third place in the 400 medley relay with a clocking of 4:00.26.
Colby finished a strong fifth in the meet with 936 points.
