Women's tennis drops tough match to Bates

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Tara Davidson won at fourth singles and teamed up with Katie Brezinski for a victory at second doubles for Colby College in a tough 5-4 loss to Bates College in New England Small College Athletic Conference play Tuesday.

Meg Anderson won at second singles and was a winner at first doubles for Bates College (5-0, 1-0 NESCAC).

Katie Muto battled from behind for a victory at first singles for Colby (3-2, 0-1 NESCAC), but the Mules lost two other singles matches that went three sets. Kathryn Vergeyle also won at singles for the Mules in the fifth spot.
