Women's tennis falls to Wesleyan

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. --- The Colby College women’s tennis team won two of the three doubles matches, but Wesleyan University had the better of singles play in a 6-3 victory over the Mules on Sunday.

Katie Brezinski and Tara Davidson notched an 8-5 over Ania Preneta and Linda McDougal at second doubles. The Mules also received a tight 9-7 win for Kathryn Vergeyle and Sally Meehan at third doubles. Vergeyle got the lone singles victory at the fifth spot with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 win.

Colby plays host to Hamilton College at 1 p.m. Saturday.
