Women's tennis earns win over Conn College

WATERVILLE, Maine --- The Colby College women's tennis team won all three doubles matches in improving to 8-6 overall in a 6-3 victory over Connecticut College in NESCAC play Saturday.

Katie Muto (Wayland, Mass.) and Caroline Reaves (Chevy Chase, Md.) won 8-4 at the first doubles position for the Mules, now 3-4 in league play. Tara Davidson (Concord, Mass.), who also won her match at fifth singles, teamed up with Katie Brezinski (Littleton, Colo.) for a win at second doubles. Julie Achenbaum (New Canaan, Conn.) and Sarah Wiener (Mequon, Wis.) won at third doubles and Wiener took her match at sixth singles.

Cassie Smith (Shelburne, Vt.) earned a win at first singles for the Camels (6-8 overall, 1-6 NESCAC). Rebecca Heupel (Eden Prairie, Minn.) took the second singles match and Caroline Barone (North Kingstown, R.I.) earned a victory at fourth singles.
