Women's tennis edged by Wesleyan, 5-4

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Tara Davidson (Concord, Mass.) and Katie Brezinski (Wayland, Mass.) won tough singles matches for Colby College, but Wesleyan University held on for a 5-4 victory over the Mules in New England Small College Athletic Conference women's tennis Saturday.

Davidson won a 16-14 super-breaker to win her match at fifth singles, while Brezinski also won a super-breaker to take her sixth singles match. Audrey Jacobsen (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) won at third singles for Colby (3-7, 0-4). Brezinski also teamed with Katherine Koleski (Rochester, Minn.) for a win at third doubles.

Wesleyan moved to 8-5 overall and 2-2 in the conference.
