Colby women's tennis opens season with easy victory

GORHAM, Maine -- Tracy Nale won an easy match at first singles and Nicole Veilleux cruised at second singles to pace the Colby College women's tennis team to a 9-0 victory at University of Southern Maine on Tuesday.

Colby co-interim head coaches Jim Begin and Sakhi Khan earned their first victory.

Julie Achenbaum, Alex De Sherbinin, Audrey Jacobsen and Nadege Roux also won straight set singles matches. Colby only gave up seven games in the six singles matches.

Allison Dunn and Nale won at first doubles by an 8-1 score. Meanwhile, Veilleux and De Sherbinin took the second doubles match and Achenbaum and Jacobsen won at the third spot.
