MIDDLEBURY, Vt. --- Tara Davidson and Kathryn Vergeyle each won singles matches for the Colby College women's tennis team, but Middlebury College swept the doubles and took the first four singles spots in a 7-2 victory on Sunday. The Mules fall to 7-6 overall and 2-4 in the New England Small College Athletic Conference. Middlebury, ranked 15th nationally, moves to 9-3 and 4-0 in the league. Davidson posted a 7-6 (3), 6-3 victory over Alyssa Puccinelli at fifth singles, while Vergeyle won 6-1, 6-0 against Anne Weinberg at sixth singles.
