LEWISTON, Maine --- Emma Linhard won the 1,000-meter run and Laura Duff captured the 800 meters for the Colby College women's indoor track and field team in a tri-meet with Bates College and MIT on Saturday. Colby sprinter Frances Onyilagha placed second to MIT's Portia Jones in both the 55 dash (7.60) and the 200 dash (27.01). Kelly Foster had a throw of 39-10.35 in the weight throw to place second, while teammates Abbott Matthews (34-5.78) was fourth and Katherine MacNamee (33-1.64) took fifth. Courtney Laird took a third in the 400 dash (1:05.04) and teammate Ann Norris was fourth in 1:05.06. Brittney Reardon added a fourth in the pole vault (11-1.07), Karyn King was fifth in the shot put (31-11.46), Layne Schwab had a fifth in the mile (5:22.41), and Hillary Barr took fifth in the 600 meters (1:51.01). The 1,600 relay team of Laird, Brittany Tschaen, Norris, and Linhard placed second in 4:22.90.
