GORHAM, Maine --- Katrina Gravel won a New England Division III title in the 5,000-meter run and Cassi Knight placed second in the 3,000 meters for the Colby College women's indoor track and field team at the region meet on Saturday at University of Southern Maine.
Colby placed ninth out of 26 schools with a score of 45.5.
Gravel had a time of 17 minutes 45.25 seconds in winning her title, while Knight finished in 10:17.23 in her race. Emma Linhard took fourth in the mile run with a 5:01.01 clocking, Knight was ninth in 5:08.7, and Heather MacDonald took 10th in 5:14.07. MacDonald also placed fourth in the 1,000 meters in 3:03.79.
The 3,200 relay team of Brittany Tschaen, MacDonoald, Laura Duff, and Linhard placed fourth in 9:36.34.
The Mules also received a fifth from Danielle Sheppard in the high jump (5-2.25), a sixth by Brittany Bell in the 400 dash (1:00.06), a seventh from Duff in the 800 meters (2:20.03) and an eighth from Linhard in 2:21.25, and a ninth from Ginny Keesler in the 1,000 (3:08.59).
