Sheppard has no height in high jump at NCAA meet

DELAWARE, Ohio --- Colby College's Danielle Sheppard (Kittery, Maine) did not make a height in the high jump at the NCAA Division III Women's Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Sheppard started at 5-3.75 and missed the three jumps. Her best leap of the season, 5-7, would have placed her in the top three.

Elizabeth Evans of Rose-Hulman was the top seed heading into the meet and won the national title with a jump of 5-8. Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Julia Baranek and Wisconsin-Whitewater's Shelby Demos both had a jump of 5-7.
