Barton 12th for men's Nordic team at UVM

STOWE, Vt. --- Jake Barton finished in 12th place for the Colby College men's Nordic team to help the Mules place fifth overall in the 10-kilometer classic event on Saturday at the University of Vermont Carnival.
 
Barton had a time of 29 minutes, 48.5 seconds as the Mules accumulated 71 points. Levin Zars took 26th for Colby in 30:28.8, Corey Park was 31st in 30:54.4, and Jared Supple took 33rd in 30:57.8.
 
Olga Golovkina led the Colby women with a 17:17.7 in taking 24th place and Lizzie Anderson was 34th in 17:54.6. Colby finished in a tie for eighth place in the women's competition.
