Barton earns fourth top-15 finish of season

STOWE, Vt. ---- Jake Barton had his fourth top-15 finish of the season in six races as the Colby College men's Nordic team placed sxth in the 10-kilometer freestyle event at the University of Vermont Carnival on Sunday.
 
Barton, who had a fine preseason for the Mules, had finishes of seventh, two 12th places, and now a 13th. He had a clocking of 25 minutes, 44.4 seconds.
 
Corey Park was 30th for the Colby men in 26:34.7.
 
For the Colby women, Olga Golovkina placed 30th in 31:21.8 over 10 kilometers. The Mules placed eighth in the women's event.
