MEDFORD, Mass. --- The Colby College men's outdoor track and field team received a third from Dylan Nisky in the 800-meter run to help the Mules finish in seventh place out of 11 teams at the New England Small College Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday at Tufts University.
The Mules finished with a score of 33 and were just three points out of sixth place. Colby was competing without injured sprinter Dom Kone, the national champion in the 100 dash last year.
Nisky finished with a time of 1:53.18 in the field of 37 in the 800 meters. Mark McCauley of Bates College was first in 1:52.15.
Harry Geldermann took fourth place in the pole vault with a leap of 13-1.5, Jamaal Grant added a fifth in the long jump (21-8.75) and Matt White had the same placing in the 400 dash (49.89) for the Mules.
John Gilboy was sixth in the shot put (45-9) and eighth in the hammer throw (155-10), while Shaquann Hunt took sixth in the javelin (170-03). Nick Joseph added a seventh in the triple jump (42-7) and Justin Owumi placed eighth in the 110 hurdles (15.62, 15.49 prelim).
Caleb Harris, Randy Person, Kevin Clarke, and White placed sixth in the 1,600 relay in 3:25.06.
