BIDDEFORD, Maine --- The Colby College volleyball team took a 3-0 win over University of New England on Thursday night, but the match was much more difficult than the final score indicates.
The Mules improve to 10-8 overall and will play at Mount Holyoke College on Friday at 5 p.m. after the 25-23, 25-23, 26-24 win against the Nor'easters.
First-year outside hitter Natalie Roy had the clinching kills in all three sets and finished with a match-high 18 kills and added 10 defensive digs. Roy had just two errors among her 44 attack attempts for a fine .364 percentage.

The first set was tied 22-22 when Taylor had two straight kills for a two-point lead and then Roy clinched the match with a kill.
The second and third sets had similar finishes after UNE was unable to close out the sets. The Nor'easters led 23-20 in the second game, but Colby scored five straight points to pull out the win.
