2009 season highlights: Leighton earned All-NESCAC second team honors on the offensive line. He was honored with the State of Maine Chapter Scholar-Athlete Award from the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. Brian also was named to the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team. At Colby: Brian is majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. Before Colby: Played football and hockey at John Bapst Memorial High School.
