2011 season highlights: Caitlin, who earned NESCAC Fall All-Academic and All-Sportsmanship honors, also earned Colby's Pamela Hoyt-Sanborn Award for contributions of sportsmanship and leadership at the senior awards ceremony. She was second on the Mules in both kills (214) and defensive digs (293). Burchill, a co-captain, finished her career with 1,115 digs, 656 kills, and 83 service aces. 2010 season highlights: Burchill, who was on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team, was second on the Mules in kills with 149. She ranked 12th in the NESCAC and third on the team in defensive digs (3.73 per set, 291 total) and added 21 service aces. 2009 season highlights: Caitlin, who made the NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team for the second straight year, was second on the Mules in defensive digs (346 total) and kills (182). She also served 31 aces. 2008 season highlights: Burchill was fourth on the team in total kills (134) and third in total defensive digs (231) during her first year at Colby. She made the NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team. At Colby: Caitlin had a double major in American Studies and Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies...she was a tour guide for prospective students, head of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC), worked as a Student Athletic Trainer, and is a facilitator on the Judicial Board...internship at New England Cable News. Before Colby: Played volleyball, basketball, and softball at Ursuline Academy…was volleyball captain for three years (2005-07)…Massachusetts All-State volleyball player (2005-07)…Boston Globe All-Scholastic (2006-07) and Boston Herald All-Scholastic (2005-07)…earned Wellesley College Book Award.
