2009-10 season highlights: Danielle, a captain, holds the school record in the 400 individual medley (4:34.10) and is part of the 800 freestyle relay record team. She finished sixth in the 200 breaststroke (2:29.62), seventh in the 400 IM (4:34.10), and ninth in the 200 IM (2:09.57) at the NESCAC meet. Carlson earned all-league honors as part of the 400 medley relay team. 2008-09 season highlights: Carlson took sixth in the 400 IM (4:34.34) and seventh in the 200 IM (2:09.64) at the conference meet. She earned all-league honors in the 400 medley relay. Carlson earned Collegiate Swimming Coaches Association of America honorable mention academic All-American honors. 2007-08 season highlights: Danielle took 15th in the 400 IM (4:44.90) and 16th in the 200 IM (2:14.51) at the league meet. 2006-07 season highlights: Carlson earned honorable mention All-American honors in the 400 medley and 400 freestyle relays at the national meet. She earned the team's Rookie Award after finishing 12th in the 50 breaststroke at the NESCAC meet. At Colby: Carlson majors in Human Development with a minor in Environmental Education... member of the water polo club... swim teacher at Latin School Summer Camp.  Before Colby:  Danielle swam and played water polo at the Latin School of Chicago... varsity and state qualifier for swimming... sportsmanship award and varsity player for water polo.
