2011 season highlights: Sheppard, who made the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team and was a captain, was one of Colby's best high jumpers in program history. She qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships, but had no height. Danielle won the New England Division III title in the high jump and placed fourth in the Open New England Championships. Sheppard also earned All-NESCAC honors after tying her personal best with a winning leap of 5-7 in the high jump. She also had a 5-7 in a victory at the Point Loma Invitational and also won the Colby Invitational high jump. At Colby: Danielle double majored in Anthropology and Science Technology and Society...she was a member of the Environmental Coalition and the Maine Aspirations Tour Program...she conducted independent research with professors at Colby and in Copenhagen, Denmark, through a grant form the Goldfarb Center for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement. Before Colby: Danielle played soccer and indoor and outdoor track...she was president of the National Honors Society and fourth in her graduating class.
