2011 season highlights: Emily was second in the NESCAC in service aces per set (0.57) and 11th in digs per set (3.71). She led the team with 338 defensive digs and 52 service aces. Varni has 691 digs and 109 aces in three years. 2010 season highlights: Varni missed time due to injury and was named to the NESCAC All-Academic Team. She was second on the team in receiving percentage (.936), third in service aces (27) and added 150 digs and 39 kills. 2009 season highlights: Emily was first on the Mules in serve percentage (.945), second in service aces (36), second in assists (106), and third in defensive digs (245). Despite having limited experience at setter, Varni had to play the position for a few matches.
