2012 season highlights: Pistel earned her second All-American honor after being named to the IWLCA second team. She also earned IWLCA All-Region First Team and All-NESCAC first team honors. Kate was tied for third on the Mules in scoring with 28 goals and 11 assists for 39 points. She also had 28 ground balls, 21 caused turnovers, and 19 draw controls. Pistel, one of Colby's top defenders, heads into her senior year with 83 goals and 29 assists for 112 points. She also has 93 ground balls, 78 draw controls, and 65 caused turnovers. 2011 season highlights: Kate, an Intercollegeiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Second Team All-American and an All-NESCAC First Team selection, was second on the Mules in scoring with 27 goals and 14 assists for 41 points. She was tied for first in caused turnovers (19) and was second in draw controls (28) and ground balls (33). 2010 season highlights: Pistel made the womenslacrosse.com national all-rookie team after finishing with 28 goals and four assists. She also was on the IWLCA All-Region First Team. Pistel had a fine all-around season with 32 ground balls, 31 draw controls, and 25 caused turnovers. Kate had three goals and two assists in Colby's NCAA second round win over Cortland State.  At Colby:  Kate majors in Human Development...She also plays soccer and is an All-NESCAC squash player for Colby. Before Colby: Kate participated in varsity soccer, squash, and lacrosse at Suffield Academy...she was all-state in soccer...New England Class B squash champion...she was an Honorable Mention All-American in lacrosse...she also received a Math Award.
