2011 season highlights: Pleasants, who was on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team, was sixth in the NESCAC in aces per set (0.49) and eighth in assists per set (7.92). She had 713 assists, 245 defensive digs, and 44 service aces. Kate has 1,110 assists and 70 aces in two years. 2010 season highlights: Kate, who earned the NESCAC Sportsmanship Award, was eighth in the conference in assists per set (5.90). She added 225 digs and was tied for the team lead in total service aces (33). At Colby: Kate is an Anthropology and Classic Civilization major...she is a mentor for Colby Cares About Kids...had an internship at a commercial real estate company. Before Colby: Kate played varsity volleyball for four years and varsity crew for one year at the Cape Henry Collegiate School...she was captain of the volleyball team (2008-10), MVP 2010, received the coaches award in 2009, was All-TCIS First Team in 2010, and was a member of the all-state tournament team 2009-2010.
