2011-12 season highlights: Kathryn was the lone captain of the team and finished with an 8-8 singles record (1-0 at second, 7-7 at third, 0-1 fourth). She also had an 8-8 record with Sarah Wiener at first doubles and was 9-9 overall. 2010-11 season highlights: Vergeyle had a 6-5 singles record, with 3-2 records at the fourth and fifth spots. She also went 6-5 in doubles, finishing at 5-4 at the second spot with Sarah Weiner. 2009-10 season highlights: Kathryn had a 9-3 record while playing the sixth singles spot and was 7-6 while playing third doubles. She was honored with an ITA Scholar-Athlete award. 2008-09 season highlights: Vergeyle had a fine first year with the Mules, earning a number of key victories at fifth singles and at third doubles. She had league singles wins against Bates, Middlebury, Hamilton, and Wesleyan. She also had success with doubles partner Sally Meehan and recorded wins against Bates, Connecticut College, Hamilton, and Wesleyan. Vergeyle also was selected to the NESCAC Spring Sportsmanship Team. At Colby: Kathryn majored in Art and minored in Math...member of the Colby Dancers...summer of 2011 did stint at Berkeley Summer Architecture Program...member of rhythmic gymnastics during the summer. Before Colby: Played tennis at Orono High School... named all-conference while a USTA sectionally ranked competitor...ranked top 15 in rhythmic gymnastics at the national level...Presidential Scholar...National Honor Society...USAA National Mathematics Award...
