2012 season highlights: Megan had a huge first season for the Mules, earning All-New England West Second Team honors and All-NESCAC Second Team accolades. She led Colby in scoring with seven goals and six assists for 20 points. Fortier also had a team-best two game-winning goals. Megan had two goals in a 4-3 win against Bates. She also had two assists in a tough 3-2 loss at then 17th-ranked Tufts. At Colby: Fortier has a major in Psychology and a minor in Education...also had a standout first season for the women's ice hockey team at Colby...was a Falmouth Recreation camp counselor in summer of 2012. Before Colby: Played field hockey, ice hockey, and lacrosse at Falmouth High School...all-state performer in field hockey and ice hockey...played on field hockey state championship team in 2010...Forecaster Winter Athlete of the Year in 2011-12...ice hockey Player of the Year in 2011-12.
