2009-10 season highlights: Samantha played in the first position and had a 19-11 record while earning All-NESCAC second team honors and making it to the national singles tourney. She was one of just four NESCAC athletes in any team sport to earn all-conference, all-academic, and all-sportsmanship honors. Won Colby's Pamela Hoyt-Sanborn Award for contributions of sportsmanship and leadership throughout her tenure at Colby. She was the captain of the team and helped the squad win national awards for sportsmanship and most improved. 2008-09 season highlights: Smith finished at 17-11 at the first position and landed All-NESCAC second team honors, NESCAC Winter All-Academic honors, and NESCAC All-Sportsmanship honors.  2007-08 season highlights: Samantha had a 12-10 record at the first position. 2006-07 season highlights: Smith took over the first position in her first year and had a 10-11 record, including 9-10 at one and 1-1 at the second spot. At Colby: Smith majors in English with an minor in Economics and Administrative Science... is a COOT leader... during the summer of '09 interned at Heindrick and Struggles.  Before Colby: Samantha played squash, soccer, and lacrosse at Groton High School... was captain of the squash, soccer, and lacrosse teams.
