2011 season highlights: Merwin earned All-NESCAC Second Team honors after leading the Mules in yards per reception (14.4) from his tight end position. He was tied for second in receptions (21) and was second in yards receiving (302). Merwin caught two touchdowns to bring his total to 10 over the last three years. He also threw one pass for a touchdown on an option play. 2010 season highlights: Spenser was third on the team in receptions (29), third in total yards receiving (344), and added three touchdowns. He has eight touchdowns over the past two years. 2009 season highlights: Merwin led the Mules in scoring (30 points) and touchdowns (5) in a breakout season for the tight end. He was tied for second on the team in total receptions (23) and was second in yards per game (40.1). He had 281 yards for a 12.2-yard per catch total.
