WATERVILLE, Maine --- The Colby College women's basketball team picked up a third victory in the past five days after taking a 71-43 non-conference win over Husson University on Tuesday night at Wadsworth Gymnasium.
The Mules are 16-5 overall heading into a big weekend of NESCAC action. Colby takes on Connecticut College on Friday at 6 p.m. and then Wesleyan University on Saturday at 2 p.m. All three teams are 5-3 in conference play and are battling for a chance to host a league quarterfinal game.
Jil Vaughan (Wareham, Mass.) had her seventh double-double in scoring and rebounding this season with 19 points and 12 rebounds against the Eagles. Rachael Mack (Augusta, Maine) added 12 points and Aarika Ritchie (Lee, Maine) finished with 11 for the winners. Diana Manduca (Portland, Maine) led the way in assists with seven.
Stephanie Comstock (Bangor, Maine) led Husson with 14 points and nine rebounds. Amanda Gifford (Lee, Maine) added six assists and six rebounds.
