GORHAM, Maine --- Berol Dewdney finished in third place and teammate Eva Lauer was eighth for the Colby College women's cross country team at the Maine State Championships on Saturday.
Dewdney had a time of 18 minutes, 22 seconds to finish six seconds behind winner Molly Carl of Southern Maine. Lauer had a clocking of 18:33, while Kate Connolly was 14th with an 18:54. Brittany Colford took 18th for the Mules in 19:17 and first-year Alanna McDonough was 23rd.
Bates won the 10-team meet with a score of 38 and was followed by Bowdoin (61) and Colby (64).
