Dewdney, Lauer, women's cross country earn honors

WATERVILLE, Maine --- The Colby College women earned the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Academic Team Award.
Junior Berol Dewdney and first-year Eva Lauer, two Colby women's runners, were both honored with individual all-academic honors from the USTFCCCA. Individuals honored needed to have at least a cumulative 3.30 grade point average and finish in the top 35 at an NCAA regional meet.
The women were one of 187 schools to be honored. The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) had the most schools honored (10). Teams needed to have at least a 3.10 cumulative grade point average through the fall semester.
Dewdney was 31st at the New England regional meet, sixth at the NESCAC Championships, and second at the Maine State Championships. She earned All-NESCAC, All-Maine, and NESCAC Fall All-Academic honors.
Lauer was 26th at the New England meet, 29th at the conference event, and took fifth at the state meet to earn All-Maine honors.
