Dewdney, Lauer lead women's cross country

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. --- Berol Dewdney finished in 17th place and teammate Eva Lauer was 22nd for the Colby College women's cross country team as the Mules finished seventh overall at the Williams College Invitational at Mount Greylock High School.
 
Dewdney had a time of 23 minutes, 17 seconds over the 6-kilometer course, while Lauer clocked a 23:20.
 
Claire Dunn (24:27) took 58th place and teammates Layne Schwab placed 59th in 24:28 and Kate Connolly was 60th in the field of 202 runners with a 24:29. Sophie Weaver finished in 63rd place with a 24:39 and Claire Cannon placed 70th in 24:50.
 
Colby finished with a team score of 183. Middlebury won the meet with a score of 45.
