WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College junior forward Annie Papadellis (Hopkinton, Mass.), who had three goals in a 2-0 week for the women's ice hockey team, was named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday.

Papadellis, who led the women's soccer team in scoring and earned All-NESCAC status, is tied for the team lead in scoring for women's hockey with four goals in four games.

Papadellis started the week by scoring the game-winning goal in a 2-1 home win over University of Southern Maine last Tuesday. She then added two goals in helping Colby move to 2-2 on the season with a 4-3 overtime win at University of Massachusetts at Boston on Sunday.

In the latest NESCAC statistics, Papadellis is tied for second in goal scoring and ranks in a tie for sixth in overall points. She has 10 goals and three assists for 13 career points.

Colby will play host to rival Bowdoin College at 7 p.m. Friday in a NESCAC game. The Mules defeated the Polar Bears last year at Alfond Rink.
