The Mules will play host to Lasell College in a first round game Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Bill Alfond Field. The Mules have hosted five opening round games and have won all the games by a total goal margin of 94-22.

Colby, with a win Wednesday, would play the winner of the first round game between The College of New Jersey and Eastern Connecticut State at a site to be determined on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Saturday's game would be at Trinity College if the Bantams win their opening round game. Trinity would host the first game Saturday at 11:30 a.m.

The seventh-ranked Mules come into the NCAA tourney playing well. Colby took an overtime win over Bates to end the regular season and then hammered Amherst in a NESCAC quarterfinal eight days ago. The Mules fell 11-10 to third-ranked Middlebury yesterday in a NESCAC semifinal, but Colby held 6-1 and 10-6 leads in the game before the Panthers made a dramatic comeback.

Junior attackers Katharine Eddy and Lindsey McKenna have both come up with big games over the past few weeks. Eddy leads the Mules with 21 goals and 30 assists for 51 points, while McKenna is second with 43 goals and four assists for 47 points. Eddy had two goals and three assists in the Middlebury game.

Trinity, the defending NCAA champions and the NESCAC champions after an 8-7 overtime win over Middlebury on Sunday, will take on Montclair State in an opening round game. Middlebury and Bowdoin also made the national tourney from the NESCAC. The Panthers will play host to Castleton State, while Bowdoin will entertain Bridgewater State.  There are 32 teams in the tournament and 11 squads were given at-large bids.
