WORCESTER, MASS. --- The Colby College varsity women's crew placed fourth out of 21 boats at the Lake Quinsigamond Snake Regatta on Sunday, while the Colby men took fifth place.

Margaret Duggan (Bronxville HS/Bronxville, N.Y.), a 2006 Colby College graduate, just missed out on a medal as she and her United States teammates placed fourth in the championship race of the Women's Lightweight Quadruple Sculls at the 2007 FISA World Rowing Championships on Sunday at the 1972 Olympic Regatta Course in Oberschleissheim, Germany.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College women's crew members Elyse Atkind (Needham, Mass.), Carolyn Curtis (Hebron, Maine), Mariah Hudnut (Fort Collins, Colo.) and Justine Scott (Spokane, Wash.) were each named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar Athlete Team.

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Colby College senior Austin Phillips (Kent School/Madison, Conn.) was named a 2007 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Second Team All-American on Thursday.

WHITNEY POINT, N.Y. --- The spring crew season ended Sunday when high winds forced nearly all of the races to be called off at the Eastern College Athletic Conference National Invitational Regatta.
