Women's Cross-Country—History

Since its first official varsity season in 1978, the Colby women's cross-country program has flourished and built a strong tradition of success.

A perennial contender, Colby has repeatedly been in the New England Division III top-10 rankings. The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) is one of the strongest cross-country conferences in the nation and always provides great competition.

The Colby cross-country program has produced 12 runners who have earned 14 All-America honors, and Colby has qualified for the NCAA meet as a team in eight of the last 16 years, finishing fifth in the nation in both 2004 and 2005. The Mules also had top 20 performances at nationals in the 2007 and 2008 seasons. The squad averages 22 team members.
